Our Drum instructor Mr. Zhang learnt his drum skills from the famous Chinese drummer Liu Zheng. At the age of 14, he passed the level 10 examination and won many awards in national jazz drum competitions. In university he studied vocal music from Professor Hou Gaoxiang and music theory from Jiang Yuheng. In 2009 and 2010, he won the first prize of national jazz drum competition back to back. He set up a band and served as the band's drummer. He has rich teaching experience and can adjust his teaching based on different personalities and the age of his students. He pays attention to the combination of theory and practice, so that children can systematically learn jazz drum skills and the related music theory.
